SMSbiotech Expands with New San Diego Bio-Manufacturing Facility
In addition to our existing biomanufacturing facility—where we have developed and tested our proprietary SMS Stem cell manufacturing system—SMSbiotech is currently establishing and preparing a new, much larger state-of-the-art biomanufacturing lab facility in San Diego. This facility is expected to be fully operational within the next 2–3 months and will play a critical role in scaling up our clinical programs, providing expanded access to our partners for clinical trials and compassionate use initiatives, and supporting ongoing research.
The new lab features multiple ISO 7 certified cleanrooms and is equipped with top-of-the-line systems, including centrifuges, biological safety hoods, and other specialized equipment. These enhancements will significantly expand our capacity to produce high-quality SMS cells at scale while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards. This ensures readiness for upcoming clinical milestones and reinforces our commitment to excellence in regenerative therapy production.
